Thank you for your e-mails regarding these Notes. Your stories in response to mine remind us all that there is truly only one journey that we all travel together.

Monday, December 5, 2005 — Marshall, Texas

As I sit in a restaurant on the town square here, waiting for my dinner, I watch daylight dim and the fairytale lights of Marshall's annual holiday wonderland brighten in the gathering dark.

It's only as night fully overtakes day that this brilliant display is at its most magnificent and fills me with the most joy.

It's a reminder that light shines most brightly in the dark, radiates most brilliantly in the shadow and illuminates most spectacularly what emerges from the void.

In this time of void for so many of us, these are important qualities to remember.

Wednesday, December 7, 2005 — Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico

I have visited underground caverns before, in Arizona and Virginia, but never have I walked down into the deep. My previous forays into the earth's inner world have been by elevator. But there's something profoundly spiritual about making the descent on my own power.

It's very much a metaphor for my own journey, as I take step after step down the 750 feet of spiraling pathway to the cavern floor, knowing that in about two hours, a momentary elevator ride will propel me back to the light.

Slowly, the window of daylight that is the cave opening shrinks then vanishes and I find myself in the dimness of the underworld.

In a peculiar twist, I'm overcome briefly with vertigo — not from the height beneath me but the weight above.

Few people choose to enter Carlsbad Caverns this way, most opting for the elevator ride into the cavern space that will complete my trek. And so I'm largely alone during this portion of the journey.

And yet I'm not. Devic spirits surround. Elves dance around my feet as I'm walking and the spirits of the rock are as alive as I am.

If you work with crystals, you'll know that calcite is a powerful chakra cleanser. With much of the cavern's underground sculpture formed from calcite (the cavern walls are limestone), simply walking through here is a clearing.

Yet even without the calcite, this underground journey is a powerfully healing.

Shortly after I reach the cavern floor and pass through a narrow passageway into an immense rock room, I receive this message from the rocks themselves:

Be still and allow yourself to receive.
You have passed through the dark tunnel into the Great Opening.
Take your time in this place and allow the spirits to speak to you.
Take your time and allow the download to occur, that when you step from here into the light, you will be ready for all that the light has to offer.

I'm reminded too that I walk these underground pathways not only for me and my journey but for you and yours as a significant physical expression of the Light Opening that is the Christ Light Revelation Portal.

Moments before it's time to ascend the elevator back to the surface, I come to the formation known as the Top of the Cross. In some quirk of numerological synchronicity, this is viewpoint #33. In some schools of numerology, 33 represents Christ Consciousness.

How cool is that!

According to one web site I came across, 33hz is also the natural frequency for the interior of a pyramid. When I encountered the cross-topped natural pyramid referred to in my last newsletter later that day, its presence was so powerful, I had to pull off the road and go into a deep, sleep-like state to receive whatever activation it was offering me.

Wednesday, December 14, 2005 — Sedona, Arizona

Although it's feeling like a scene from the movie Groundhog Day (where Bill Murray keeps having to repeat the same day over and over until he "gets it right"), I know that this day's departure from Sedona is not the same as last year's.

Yet there are similarities. Once more, I'm stepping out into the void, not knowing where the journey is carrying me or what the future holds. Once more, I'm leaving my daughter behind and dealing with the guilt of that. Once more, I'm moving into financial uncertainty.

Yet there are important differences, and these differences prove to me that this is a higher point on the spiral rather than simply the school failure that forces us to repeat the grade.

What are the differences?
• The void is even greater than it was last year, proving that I have grown into the strength and power required to move through it.
• I realize that I can separate feelings of responsibility from feelings of guilt. I realize too that no one and nothing can "make" me feel guilty, unless I give my power away to let that occur.
• I have the past year's experiences to remind me how perfectly and completely I am taken care of...when I surrender and know it to be so.
• To my surprise, I find myself driving west out of Phoenix rather than south (last year's route).

Life is a spiral. We keep returning to what seems to be the same place (ie, Groundhog Day). Yet for most of us most of the time, this is not a return to the same place. Rather, we have reached a higher mark on the core-issue column that runs vertically up the spiral of our life's journey. We're at a higher vibration dealing with deeper levels of that core issue. And because the spiral's circumference is smaller the higher it rises, we return to that core issue more quickly from one time to the next.

And so I leave Sedona once more. This time it's not my home. This time, I see it for the marker that it is. This time I feel lighter. And this time, I surrender to the possibility that there will still be a next time.

Thursday, December 15, 2005 — Joshua Tree, California

I receive yet another reminder today that I attract the clients whose issues mirror my own in this afternoon's phone session, in which I spend most of my time talking about the void and how to deal with it! This is why I always listen for myself to every word I speak to a client!

At dusk I find myself driving through Joshua Tree National Park. This is my second time through this park in recent years, yet this time it's the trees that speak to me even more powerfully than do the rocks.

I'm not clear about their message until I remember that it was the biblical Joshua who succeeded Moses and, in the end, led the Children of Israel into the Promised Land. I remember too that it was Joshua's use of the power of sound that crumbled the walls of Jericho.

As I drive past legions of these oddly shaped trees silhouetted against the setting sun (see photo above), I know that they are reminding me of the power of my voice, assuring me that the Promised Land is nigh and guiding me there as lovingly, powerfully and effectively as did their biblical namesake with his flock.
