Notes from the Freedom Trail (12/03/05): The Christ Light Revelation Portal

Do you know where you’re going? Do you know what’s next in your life? Do you know your life purpose? If you do, do you know how it is meant to next express itself in your life?

Having freed the light during the 40-day Cosmic Liberation Portal that ended on Wednesday, November 30, we now have an opportunity to amplify that light and direct it within.

This 22-day Christ Light Revelation Portal (December 11-12 through January 1-2) is less about training light on our shadow darkness (though that may happen) than it is about illuminating our beauty, revealing our potential and unveiling our direction.

It’s no accident that the Winter Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) falls close to the portal’s halfway point. For it’s on the day after the Solstice that the sun returns, as day’s light once more lengthen.

Other festivals celebrating the return of the light also occur during this portal period.

Scandinavians and Northern Europeans celebrate the Christian feast day of St. Lucy (Santa Lucia), known as the Queen of Light, on December 13 with a festival of lights. (That same night, the Geminid Meteor Showers light up the night sky.)

And in a rare confluence, Christmas and the Jewish Festival of Lights, Hanukkah, occur at the same time, with Hanukkah’s eight-day celebration beginning on Christmas night and running through to the portal’s close on January 1-2.

The Christ Light we can choose to amplify during this period (it’s always a choice) will lift the veil from those aspects of our Divine Potential we are ready to see and offer us some of the clarity we have been seeking during these times of uncertainty.

As more of our Christ Light is revealed, so is more of our heartful power, heartful vision and heartful purpose.

This is an opportunity to let your light shine — first for yourself and then for the world.

This is an opportunity to step more fully into your mastery.

I have been guided to offer five Initiation teleconferences during this powerful portal period.

As the portal’s opening and closing each span a 24-hour period, there will be two teleconferences working with each: on December 11 and 12 for the opening, and on January 1 and 2 for the closing and anchoring.

At the approximate midway point, on December 22, will be an initiation working specifically with the return of the light. This was originally scheduled for the night of the Solstice, but I have been guided to schedule it for the first day of the light’s return. It remains as a free event, my light gift to you, but registration is required.

I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely looking forward to the effects of this Portal in my own life, so veiled in mystery right now.

I’m also looking forward to assisting you in taking full advantage of the energies of this portal through the next five teleconferences.

Notes from the Freedom Trail

Saturday, November 26, 2005 — Williamston, Michigan

I’m very emotional at the end of today’s workshop here. It’s feeling like a completion — or at least the start of a completion.

I didn’t expect to feel this. After all, I’ve left Williamston and Michigan multiple times over the past year.

This time feels different.

This time, I’m stepping into the void.

My assumption has been that I would come back east in the spring, and that the only void would be how and where I would spend the winter.

Today, that assumption feels less certain. Nothing beyond Tuesday’s event in Wisconsin feels certain.

I’m stepping into the void, as surely as I did last December, when I left Sedona in the wake of a marriage breakup.

As I write this, I’m realizing that freedom is uncertainty. Freedom is the void.

You can’t be free if you’re locked in certainty about anything.

To paraphrase Janis Joplin, Freedom’s just another word for no idea what’s next.

It’s not a comfortable sensation. But no one ever promised that freedom would be comfortable.

The Children of Israel certainly weren’t comfortable in their Sinai wanderings with their newfound freedom, if the Book of Exodus is to be believed.

Freedom is a free-floating, unanchored flight into the unexpected.

My sense is that what awaits me on the other side of Thursday’s anticipated New Moon departure from Wisconsin is wondrous, more than I could imagine. Even as I defy the infinite nature of that statement by trying to imagine, I know it to be an futile undertaking.

My job, as author Ray Bradbury once commented about writing, is to leap off the cliff and trust that I’ll sprout wings on the way down.

I’ve done a lot leaping over the past ten years and can gratefully report that not once have wings failed to emerge. And with each cliff higher than the last, there’s always more time for those wings to appear.

The eagle only has its wings.

No solid ground supports it in flight. All it has is the power of its beingness and the clear knowingness that it can fly.

So can we — you and I — if we know it to be so, if we release our need for the certainty of solid ground, if we leap off the cliff and simply soar freely into the void.

Even in my moments of deepest doubt, part of me knows I can do it because I’ve done it before. The same is true for you.

Sunday, November 27, 2005 — Williamston, Michigan

I like to remind people who experience my sound Initiations to drink lots of water for at least 24 hours following a session or event (and to drink even more if their diet includes coffee or alcohol).

Here’s why:
• The resulting vibrational alignment shakes loose lots of “old stuff.” Fluid helps flush it from the physical body.
• The ultrahigh frequency of the vibrational work can toast your circuits and physical body, causing serious dehydration, unless you replenish the fluids.
• Moisture is an electrical conductor. If you are dehydrated, your electrical system will not effectively carry the higher vibrational current throughout your system.

I also tell people that the Initiation can potentially alter their sleep patterns — promoting a long night of deeply restful sleep or an endless night of uncomfortably fitful tossing and turning.

I’m very much aware of this advice when I get up this workshop morning-after...after 10 restless hours in bed, little of which involved sleep.

My mouth in this moment resembles the Mojave Desert and the jungle drum beating behind my eyes throbs insistently. My body feels as though I’ve stuck a finger into an electrical outlet.

I’m not sure, but I think this has been going on since 2:30 this morning...

Over the years, I have come to recognize these as symptoms of severe dehydration that respond to nothing other than fluid...and more fluid...and more fluid...and more fluid.

Often, and today is one of those days, water alone doesn’t rehydrate me. Yesterday’s vibration is still pulsing through me, burning off fluid more rapidly than I can replace it, but not so rapidly that I don’t feel unpleasantly bloated.

By early afternoon, my car is littered with empty cranberry-scented water bottles — cranberry being my favored Emer'gen-C flavor of the week and Emer'gen-C being a powdered Vitamin C drink that’s also an effective rehydrator. (Lemon water, hot or cold, can is also effective.)

The headache dulls then dissolves, long after I have lost count of the empties (bottles and Emer'gen-C packets), leaving me uncomfortably aware how ill-equipped for vibrational shift is this body I slipped into 51 years ago.

Your body, too, is likely struggling to keep pace with the shift of the ages we’re living through.

It’s difficult to comprehend, at times, the scope of this shift, a shift that will bring with it physical changes so profound they are beyond our mind’s capacity to imagine.

in effect, we are experiencing in one lifetime a pace of evolution that once took thousands of years to achieve.

No wonder it’s physically uncomfortable. No wonder we’re living through symptoms no one can effectively explain or treat.

No one really knows what it means to move into a light body and still have physical form. Will we shed old organs and grow new ones? Will we look like we did when we were 25...for hundreds of years?

For all the channeled information and intuitive speculation, we cannot consciously know what is impossible for our minds to grasp.

As currently wired, our minds have no frame of reference for large parts of this journey, let alone its destination.

That wiring is constantly being upgraded (another cause for headaches and dehydration) and will, one day, be better aligned with our evolutionary path.

For now, though, all we can do is to love and respect our physical bodies, drink lots of fluid and remember that we’re pioneers, going where no one in the universe has gone before.

Thursday, December 1, 2005 — Brookfield, Wisconsin

It’s a New Moon, perfect energy for stepping into the new...if only I knew what that was!

There are moments when that unknowingness grates and moments when it feels great. And there are moments, like this one, when I teeter between the two.

There’s a section in my novel, The MoonQuest, titled “To the End of the Known World.” That’s where I seem to be situated.

As I drive away from my final private session in Wisconsin, it feels as though all I have known of me and of my life this past year is drawing to an end.

Like the protagonists in The MoonQuest, I stand at a portal. There is no going back, yet the future is veiled.

Much as I hate to admit it, that’s as it should be. What awaits me — and you — is hidden, as I am readied to receive it and it is readied for my embrace.

The good news, or so I’m guided to believe, is that this Christ Light Revelation Portal is the energy that will begin to lift that veil, that my increased light will burn through the mist and reveal, at the very least, the first steps and stages of what awaits me.

As frustrating as the wait can sometimes be, it’s an exercise in trust and surrender. It’s also a protection. There is little about my life over these past 13 months that I could have predicted 14 months ago. There’s little about my life over these past five years that I could have predicted ten years ago.

In both cases, the veils lifted at the perfect time: when my light had increased sufficiently that I could embrace the events and their consequences without either fleeing in fear or burning up in amped up energy.

Timing, as I’m sometimes reluctant to admit, is always divine.

Friday, December 2, 2005 — Rochelle, Illinois

Even if the Freedom Portal is complete, the Freedom Trail continues, drawing me to this small community on the Lincoln Highway in Illinois, the Land of Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln has been very present during my travels in recent months, showing himself to participants at some of my events and calling me to the battlefield at Gettysburg, site of his legendary Address.

So it’s fitting that I should find myself magnetized to what was once part of the this country’s first transcontinental highway...the Lincoln Highway.

The abolition of slavery wasn’t Abraham Lincoln’s primary concern at the outset of the Civil War. He was more focused on the preservation of the Union.

We may never know what in his soul spoke to him of the need for a shift in emphasis.

My sense, intuitive rather than historical, was that he, quite literally, saw the light. What was hidden — the true depth of the evil — was revealed, and his course was clear.

Also revealed in the light was the realization that his presidential power allowed him to act unilaterally when, previously, he had not believed that to be so.

The political man of his time that he was, the resulting Emancipation Proclamation of 1862-63 was limited: It did not free all slaves.

Yet the energy of this revolutionary act set the stage for freedom’s victory and for the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery.

For me, as we move toward the Christ Light Revelation Portal I wrote about last time, the most significant part of what I have just written is “he saw the light” and “what was hidden...was revealed, and his course was clear.”

That’s precisely what the Christ Light Revelation Portal is about: an enhanced opportunity to see the light, to have revealed what in our own hearts has been hidden, to recognize the next clear course for us.

What better time to experience that than during nature’s own return (in the northern hemisphere) to the light. As darkness ends in our outer world, we have an opportunity to end it as well in our inner world.

It’s been an Abe Lincoln kind of day: Lincoln Highway...across the Lincoln Memorial Bridge...past the city of Lincoln...and into Springfield, Lincoln’s birthplace...where I’m know I’m reactivating the Lincoln Grid and where I find myself staying on Freedom Drive (in room 321...does that mean I’m ready for blast-off?).

The Freedom Trail lives!

Saturday, December 3, 2005 — St. Louis, Missouri

I’m amazed at times what humanity creates that unconsciously amplifies consciousness.

Bridges are among my favorite expressions of that. So often, I feel myself being activated when I cross one of these man-made spans.

Sometimes it’s the bridge, like the Golden Gate in San Francisco, whose every arch sends jolts of energy into me.

Sometimes it’s the river. I feel a powerful transition into the new every time I cross the Mississippi, including today’s crossing that took me into St. Louis.

But that’s not why I was called to the Gateway City.

From the moment I see it rising up in the distance, I know that the this city’s Gateway Arch is more than a stunning architectural marvel. It is a portal.

And as I approach it on foot, I know that it and St. Louis play a pivotal energetic role in the Christ Light Revelation Portal that opens up on December 11-12.

It’s no accident that this arch is a tribute to the energy of expansion. Yes, it celebrates America’s westward expansion, which, for the First Peoples of this land offers little cause for celebration.

But whatever its architect, creators and custodians think it’s about, my knowingness tells me it’s a portal for the expansion of light and consciousness. That same knowingness tells me I’m here to further activate that portal and be activated by it.

Today, eight days before the opening of the Christ Light Revelation Portal, I approach and pass under the Arch singing sacred songs of light and awakening — for myself, for you and for all.

Today, I sing the songs that prepare the way for an unprecedented opportunity to amplify the Christ Light within each of us. That light will open us to see more, know more and experience more of the potential that has lain hidden within each of us.

Knowing that helps temper my impatience and anchor my trust.

Next Sunday and Monday, in the first two teleconferences of the portal, I will sing again — this time directly to you (should you choose to be present). I will sing the songs that will help usher in this 22-day period of divine light.

Whether or not you choose to join us, take time during those days to welcome the light into your life and to welcome the resulting awareness, remembering that what is revealed is often unexpected and sometimes fear-inducing.

That fear is of your own power and potential. Acknowledge and express it, but don’t let it paralyze you.

You stand at the portal of a great awakening. Let it in!
