Staying in Concordance Beyond the Concordance
Back in late 2004, many of us experienced the Harmonic Concordance. We attended special meditations, watched the lunar eclipse and felt bathed in a metaphysical glow as we talked about all the wondrous events to which it would open us. Now we look out the window and the world doesn't seem too much different. What happened? What didn't happen?
The fact is, the Harmonic Concordance is not just an astrological moment in time. Nor is it a magic portal that, once you walk through it, everything is different for all time.
The Harmonic Concordance represents a potential. It's up to us to choose whether we will make that energy manifest or let it slide. If we want to bask in harmony and concordance, we need to take steps and make choices that will bring the Heaven on Earth it represents into consciousness.
One of the things I did on the Harmonic Concordance, November 8, was to go on one of a series of guided hikes facilitated by the Sedona Heart Center. Our guide Janna took us deep into one of the Red Rock canyons and through a variety of powerful meditations and processes. One of them was to have us speak from the heart about what Heaven on Earth meant to us — as though it were already a reality. Which was perfect, of course, for it already is a reality!
Among the many attributes that people mentioned were inner peace and world peace, a world where words are not necessary, so deep are telepathic abilities, a world free of barriers, a new form of government, the ability to bilocate and fly, a world where all are full, empowered expressions of our divinity and soul selves. __________________________________________________________________________

There was more, of course, and everyone spoke from a deep place of heart knowingness. It was powerfully inspiring to hear everyone's vision of Heaven on Earth.
What's yours?
Stop for a moment. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath in and out, and go inside.
Go inside and allow the answer to this question to bubble up into consciousness. Allow it, without thinking about it, without judging or censoring. Just allow.
What does Heaven on Earth mean to you?
What would it look like?
What does it look like? For it already exists.
Heaven on Earth is here now. In this room. In your heart. On this planet.
Ascension has occurred. Truly. Stop waiting for it. It's waiting for you. Waiting for you to acknowledge its presence and open to its availability. To bring something into the physical from the etheric, we first must know what it is. We first must name it. So what bubbles up? Be aware of it. Name it. Name it so you can claim it. Whatever you named is available. Now. So how do you access it? How do you access whatever bubbled up for you? Notice I didn't ask you how do we create it, for we don't need to create what already is. The question is how do we shift our vibration so that we can see its now-moment existence in ourselves and model and inspire others to do likewise. One way, of course, is to open to experiences like this one, where we are reminded who we already are: the embodiment of Heaven on Earth, the physical presence of a divinity so powerful and wondrous and light-filled that it is all-powerful, all-seeing and all-being. That's what you are. Now. In this moment. That's who you are. Now. In this moment. Look at the person sitting next to you. Think of the stranger on the street, in the next car, at the supermarket. That's who she or he is. Right now. In this moment. That's who we all are...when we awaken to it. When we reclaim it. When we reactivate it. And most important, when we embrace and live it. __________________________________________________________________________
Your soul knows no past or future. It is a "being," which means it exists only in this now moment...and now this one. __________________________________________________________________________
Once again, stop for a moment. Stop and speak the following statements out loud:
I awaken to my divinity. I reclaim my divinity I reactivate my divinity. I embrace my divinity. I live my divinity. Now. Okay. You've said it. That's a start. What else do we need to do to awaken, reclaim, reactivate, embrace and live that Heaven on Earth that is already an energy within us?
By allowing the God we already are, the Divinity we already are, the Soul-self we already are, to live through us, through this physical body. By agreeing to come into Harmonic Concordance, bringing all part of our self back into harmony, into wholeness. By agreeing to the marriage of our humanity with our divinity, so that our Soul self or God self or whatever terminology you want to use, is centered right here, right now, in this body.
It's the ultimate merger — body and soul as one.
Okay, you say, so how? I've got four suggestions.
1. Be in the moment. Your soul knows no past or future. It is a "being," which means it exists only in this now moment...and now this one...and now this one. There is no soul past. There is no soul future. So whatever happened in the past or might happen in the future is irrelevant.
One way to stay in the moment is to see each breath as a new life.
Close your eyes again and do this: Breathe in a full, deep breath. Feel yourself renewed with the respiration, with the inspiration, the spirit of new life , the spirit of this moment. Inspiration, by the way, means to breath into. So breathe into this moment. Then breathe it out and let it go. Let go this breath, this breath-life, this moment, this nowness, to create space in your soul beingness for a new one. And again. And again. And again.
2. Breathe. Breathe consciously. Be aware of your breath. Your breath is your connection to your divinity and your soul self. It's your connection to your power. It's your connection to the moment. This one....and now this one. Whenever you find yourself straying from the moment, return to your breath, to your inspiration, to your connection, to the NOW.
3. Live from your heart. It's no accident that your heart is the central chakra — that place where the energies of heaven and earth come together and merge in a communion of Heaven on Earth.
Live from your heart, from that place of openheartedness, agape, aloha — whatever your chosen terminology. Aloha, by the way, is more than a word. It carries a vibration well beyond its five letters, well beyond the image of swaying palms and hula hips and mai tais. It carries a vibration well beyond the notion of romantic love. It is that place, that frequency, of unconditional and unconditioned love — unsullied by untidy emotions. A place of truth. A place of light. A place of depth and deep connection from which we are called to live and speak and grow — breath by breath, now-moment by now-moment.
Close your eyes. Feel the energy of the heavens drop down through your crown chakra. Feel the energy of the earth rise up from your feet. Feel them braid together in your heart in a communion of holiness and wholeness. Feel the union of heaven and earth come together in you and, from you, move out into the world. __________________________________________________________________________
In every moment, with every decision facing you, ask this: How does the Christ light within me desire to be expressed in this situation, in this moment? __________________________________________________________________________
4. Heed your soul's desire. Remember that fad, it may still be around, a few years ago that emerged from the Christian right. Kids and adults wore t-shirts and wrist bands, cars sported bumper stickers, asking What would Jesus do? Some of us may have mocked them, but they were onto something.
In every moment, in every situation, in every circumstance, with every decision facing you, ask this: How does the Christ light within me desire to be expressed in this situation, in this moment? It's sort of like "What would Jesus do?", but a more empowered version. Ask this: What is my soul's desire in this moment, for my life?
A few years back, when I arrived in Sedona, I was a Canadian with a limited legal ability to remain in the United States. As my six months as a visitor began drawing to a close, I began to wonder what to do. I knew from the depth of my soul knowingness that I needed to stay in the U.S., to stay in Sedona. But legally, my clock was running out. Should I leave the country and come back in again to get my six-month visitor's status to start up again?
Every time I tuned in to my inner wisdom, the answer was a resounding NO. "Spirit knows immigration law," I heard. My soul's calling was to stay put and my only call was to trust.
And so my six-month legal deadline came and went. I felt guided to rent a house, buy furniture, begin to make a life for myself here, not knowing what that meant, but trusting. knowing, that all would be taken care of in my surrender to the greater wisdom of my highest beingness.
The weeks and months passed and, frankly, I began to doubt. There were moments when I lapsed into fear. But I held on, with "Spirit knows immigration law" as my mantra and totem.
Then one day, four months after my legal status had expired, I went to a May Day bonfire organized by a friend. I met a woman that night who became my wife seven weeks later, and my ability to stay in the U.S. was assured. Truly, Spirit did know immigration law...and much else.
The only question to ask, /i>ever, is: What is my soul's call? What is my soul's desire in this situation? Because your soul is a place not only of infinite possibility but infinite capability. It sees and knows what our limited minds and imaginations cannot even begin to conceive...yet.
If my soul's call was to stay put, then all my limited and limiting self needed to know at that time was that all earthly requirements would fall into place, with as much ease as I was prepared to allow. __________________________________________________________________________
Stop looking for a savior outside yourself. Open to your divinity, which is the only savior worth having. __________________________________________________________________________
When we live and walk in the path of the Christed beings we are, when we open to the truth of our soul's desire, when we awaken to, reclaim, reactivate, embrace and live it, we are awakening to, reclaiming, reactivating, embracing and living the Heaven on Earth that already exists. Here. Now. In our hearts. In our breath. In our cells. In our blood. And we are bringing it into consciousness for all, as the light beings and light givers we are.
One final closed-eye exercise. This time, have a pen and piece of paper handy: Go within. Go deep. Ask what your soul's desire is for you for this next week. Don't think about it. Let whatever it is bubbles up do so. No judgment. No second-guessing. No thinking. Just let it be, whatever it is. When it's clear, jot it down.
Whatever it is, that's your assignment for the week — to be or do that to the best of your ability, moment by moment, breath by breath, breath of life by breath of life.
And in those moments when you can't, breathe into the energy of this moment, of this soul remembrance, acknowledge your humanity, re-embrace your divinity, and return to center...to Soul center.
If you want to see Heaven on Earth, if you want to be the ascended Master you already are, if you want to experience the Ascension and the Rapture, don't wait for the spaceships to come and get you. Don't wait for the aliens or an embodied Jesus to drop down from the clouds to come and save you. Stop looking for a savior outside yourself and open to your divinity, which is the only savior worth having.
Embrace your soul's purpose and plan. Allow your God-self, the God you are, free reign in your life. Surrender...fully, to the light that you are. Do it today. Do it now. With this breath. And now this one.
