The God That You Are

"...seek ye first the Kingdom of God...and all these things shall be added unto you."
— Matthew 6:33

The God that You Are

Be still. Be still and know the God that you are.

Be still. For it is only in the stillness that the God that you are can come into your conscious awareness.

It is easy to say, "You are God. I am God. All is One." It is easy to say. But just because you say it does not mean that you get it or live it to the full potential of your consciousness. This message is about taking whatever awareness you have and bumping it up, pumping it up, raising it to a consciousness that far surpasses any you have yet experienced.

Be still and know that.

Be still and be that.

And from that beingness, all will flow.

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God," Jesus spoke. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Neither that God nor that Kingdom resides outside of you. Yes, you know that. You speak that. You counsel others around that. But do you truly live it to the fullest extent possible? The answer is no. You live it, yes. But to the fullest extent possible?

Allow yourself to go deeper with this. For you are at a fundamental crossroads, where the ego you have been is now called to yet another death, and it struggles mightily. It cries, "No! Not me. Not now!"

It is time to be the snake that you are and shed the outer skins that are not the truth of who you are. Shed those outer skins that you might realize and know the depth of who you are. The God of who you are. The aloha of who you are.

What is aloha? Aloha is God. Aloha is God's expression through you.

Be still and see that. Be still and know that. Be still and be one with that. For only from that place can all things be given to you.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Seek ye first the greatness that lies within you. The God-self that you are. Seek it first. Seek it out and honor it. Celebrate it. Most important of all, own it. Own it.

Repeat: I am God.

Repeat it with your name: I, ____________, am God.

These are not mere words. These are a vibration of truth. And from that vibration of truth does all emanate...all that you truly are, all that you would have come to you with the ease you seek, with the ease you say you command. But you do not command it from the fullness of your God-self. You command it from the weakness of an ego-self that does not want to change to accommodate it.

The time for transformation is now. The time for delays has passed. There are no more delays. There can be no more delays. There is no room for more delays.

Seek ye first the kingdom, the greatness, the glory, the fullness, the realm of God within you. And all will be given to you. All. For all already lies within, within that Kingdom of God. It is within you.

So be still. Be still, beloved, and know the God-ness that you are.

Again, speak your name from the God place you are:

I, _________, am not a child of God. I am God.

I, _________, do not derive from God. I am God.

God is me, within me, around me, through me, above me and below.

Be still that you might awaken to that. Be still that you might know the fullness of the truth of that. Be still that you might hear the wisdom of that and the wisdom that emanates from that. For the wisdom is the voice of God that lies within you, within all...waiting to unfurl from your tongue, from your pen, from your heart. Waiting to integrate fully into your beingness, waiting to open the gates to the kingdom of abundance. Yes, the riches of your realm lie within.

Open your heart to it. Open your eyes to it. But most important of all, open your mind to it — a mind which has been so shut to the beauty and the divinity and the godliness and the saintliness that you are. Be still and know the God that you are. Know it by listening to it. Know it by listening for it. Know it by being it. Know it by seeing it in others.

So two exercises for you as you move through your days in the days ahead...

1. Greet each morning by greeting the God within you. "Namaste," you say to yourself. "I greet the God, the Divine, within me." And having done that, "Good morning, God that I am. Good morning, God that I am." Not merely "Good morning, God," for that could suggest, in a moment of weakness, that God is outside of you. Good morning, God that I am insists that that God-Self lies within you and, in effect, is you. Good morning, God that I am. In the mirror as you brush your teeth: Hello, God that I am. In the evening as you could to bed, Good night, God that I am. Anytime there is a mirror handy or present, Hello, God that I am. Greetings, God that I am. I honor you, God that I am. I bow down to you, God that I am. I surrender to you, God that I am. I listen for you and listen to you, God that I am.

2. The corollary, the other part of this exercise, is that as you see people, as you greet people, acknowledge silently or aloud, Namaste. I greet the God that you are. And as you come into communion with others, see the God that you are and the God that they are coming together in the Oneness that is the truth of all creation. I greet the God in you. And so as you go out on your day, out to your job, before you walk in the door, acknowledge the God that you are about to commune with the God of another, knowing there is no other and all is one. So you are communing with the divinity within yourself, allowing that to be a mirror to you of the Divinity within yourself. Aloha. Namaste. I greet the God, the divinity, the beauty, the power, the infinite enlightened presence of the God that you are. And having made that connection before anything else, you then step forward, surrendering your words and your actions to those of the God that you are, knowing as you have come to see through your mirror exercises, that the God that you are is present in your eyes and cannot help but touch and transform the light and life and beingness of whoever you encounter, whoever you interact with, whoever you commune with.

Perhaps you have been given a set of guidelines, as it were, for how to make your job work to your advantage and to your employer's advantage. Without telling you to abandon those, for there is truth in those as well, there is higher truth in the truth of the God that you are and the God that you are about to encounter through your co-workers or prospective customers or clients. So surrender to the higher truth while remaining connected to the earthly truth that also has value. But remember in this as in all, which truth is paramount. Remember through which truth you are called to live and to breathe and to connect all the dots of who you are, to become your becomingness, to be your beingness, to discover the resonant truth of the beauty of your soul coming now into full flowering.

Be still and see that. Be still and hear that. Be still and know that. Be still and activate that. Be still and integrate that. Be still and be one with it, so that as you are still, you can choose to listen for it, to listen to the words and the direction and the guidance that come from the place of love and not, as we are so accustomed, from the place of fear.

Find the places of stillness within your heart. Find the places of stillness within your heart that all the riches of the kingdom may be given to you.

Seek ye first the kingdom, the Kingdom of the God that you are. And as you seek it and as you find it and as you connect with it and as you connect to it, all will be given to you. All will be granted to you. All will flow to you with an ease and with a grace and with the aloha that your ego self has long sought but, through its own machinations, has corrupted and sabotaged. For your ego self, your child self, if you will, wants the outcome but not the transformation that is required to get there. And so you must choose the transformation that will allow the God within you to find its voice inside you, that will allow you to trust that voice, to hear it and to trust it, and finally to surrender to it and follow it wherever it takes you.

Yes, this is about total surrender. Unconditional surrender to the love that you are for yourself. We love ourselves when we succeed. But here is the key: to love yourself all times, even when we stumble. To surrender unconditionally to the love that you are at all times. Be still and know that you are in a place of connection. Be still and connect. Greet the God in yourself. Acknowledge it. Surrender to it. And greet the God in another. And make that holy communion of two souls coming together in godliness.

There is only God. The God in you and the God in another is the same God. You each are individual expressions of that single unified force, that single energy of love that is all there is. Now and forever. From the beginning of time to the end of time and around back again. In the oneness that truly is all time.

So be still. Be still and rest in your godliness. Be still and rest in your soul-full-ness. Be still and rest in the light that you are. Be still and know the God that you are. And remember once more that knowing you are God is one thing. Knowing the God that you are is the next level.

It's easy to say, "Yes, I know I am God, ya-da ya-da ya-da." Whether or not that is a true knowing is one thing. But knowing that God, being intimate with that God, coming into holy communion with that God, knowing the God that you are — therein is the key to all. Therein is the spigot that opens the tap from which flows the riches of the universe into your hands.

The ultimate irony, perhaps, is that it flows from your heart into your hands. It does not come from outside. It cannot come from outside, for there is no outside from which it can come. It flows from within.

Be still and allow that flow. Be still and make that connection as frequently as you can. Find ways to make that connection as frequently as you can. One of those ways is through your connection with this land, with this Earth.

Do you know why you are here? A large part of why you are here on this Earth at this time is to allow the land to feed you, to cleanse you, to reaffirm your connection with the God you are, with the God within you.

I greet the God I am. This is part of your reaffirming. I greet the God I am. Up here in the resonance of these words, of this moment, you can feel the God that you are. Yet when you finish reading and return to the bottom of the mountain, like Moses, carrying your Ten Commandments, you must not allow yourself to then worship the idols that your smaller selves are dancing around. Smash the idols. Carry the flock that you are back to wholeness, back to oneness. Reconnect with the earth. And through that reconnection, reconnect with the truth of who you are.

So a further assignment for you is to get out onto the land. Experience the breath of the land. Experience the cleansing clarity of the land. Experience its divinity and allow that divinity to speak to yours in a way that your ego mind cannot block. Let this be your moment of reconnection. And, yes, in the hustle and bustle of your day-to-day experience, climbing a mountain may not always be possible. But you must for your very survival create those possibilities, those openings.

When I set out to climb the mountain I climbed today, I did not know whether I would find a way to the summit. I did not know of a path that would take me there. Yet I found one. It found me.

The same is true for all of us. We cannot know always the path that will take us to the summit of our consciousness. Surrender moment by moment, step by step, casting out the fear.

Do you want to know what the devil is? Do you want to know what Satan is? It is the fear. Cast out the fear. Transform that energy that is so blocking you into the energy of accomplishment, into the energy of enlightenment, into the energy of love. For that alone is what will save you.

We move into times of yet more incredible shift and transformation when the battle — and I hesitate to use that word — between dark and light is growing yet more intense. But do not mistake it for a battle between light and dark outside of you. For any battle between light and dark that appears outside of you is merely a reflection of a struggle of the force of energies moving within you.

Surrender not to the fear.

Surrender not to the fear.

When the fear emerges, honor it, love it, and then greet the God that you are.

I greet, I honor, I celebrate, I activate, I integrate, I awaken, I am the God that I am.

I am the God that I am.

I, _________, am the God that I am.

You have asked what you work is? Your work is to help reawaken that same God-presence in others. To reawaken and reactivate it. To assist and guide people to own it. That is your work.

How do you best accomplish it and achieve it? In a myriad of fashions and ways to be sure. You already experience some of them. Other means will emerge. For answers, seek the counsel of the God that you are. Do not seek logical counsel. Do not seek analytical counsel. Seek the counsel of the almighty, ever-present, infinite, all-knowing, all-seeing God that you are.

And if you cannot make that connection, create a way to make that connection. Climb a mountain. Go for a walk. Clear and still your mind and your voice and your beingness to allow that godly voice to filter in, up into the conscious awareness of your knowingness.

Be still and know the God that you are. Be stillness, and from that stillness hear the God that you are. Be stillness, and through that stillness become the God that you are.

Be the God that you are 24/7. Know the God that you are 24/7. Not only when you meditate. Not only when you climb mountains. Not only when words like these come through you or to you. 24/7. Know the God that you are. Know the power that you are. Know the presence that you are. Know the agent for transformation and God-consciousness that you are. Know it.

Step up to the stage. Step up to the challenge. Step up to the opportunity. Be open to all opportunities to speak your truth. Do not fear. In this moment, perhaps, reading these words as you sit atop your mountain, you are fearless. Once you get down, the fears may yet encroach again. Let them go. Forgive yourself. Forgive all who may judge you. Stand in your truth at all times and allow the words to flow through you.

The God that you are does not stand in fear of judgment. The God that you are does not stand in fear of being smitten. The God that you are is the God that you are: all mighty, all powerful, all knowing, all seeing, all creating. Be the God that you are in every breathing moment, in every alive moment. And see those alive moments become yet more vibrant with each act of being the God that you are.

Not only in your spiritual practice or healing work. Not only atop a mountain. But on the streets and in the marketplace. Wherever the God that you are is called and guided to stand. There is not one situation in your life that you cannot turn around by being the God that you are. Not one.

Know the God that you are. Know it.

Little has changed in terms of what you are called to do. What has changed, what must change first and foremost is to be the God that you are at all times. In as many moments as you can muster. Many more than you have until now. That is the transformation that is called for.

Greet the God that you are. Honor the God that you are. Acknowledge the God that you are. Celebrate the God that you are. Know the God that you are. Hear the God that you are. Surrender to the God that you are.

If you stand in fear, look deeper for the God that you are, which stands above the fear. Connect to that place, however you need to. Go for a walk and connect. Yes, there are immediate exigencies, immediate financial concerns. And no, you will not be thrown out onto the street. But until and unless you own the God that you are, you will live in struggle. You will live in fear. You will live in want. You will live in lack.

The God that you are does not, cannot live in lack. For there is no lack in that consciousness. And as you move into that consciousness, the lack will vanish. Mark my words, the lack will vanish.

See every experience with another as an exercise, as a practice of being the God that you are in the presence of the God that is the other and coming together in the oneness that the two of you are.

Be the God that you are. Be it.

Now, as I stand at the pinnacle of this Pyramid Mountain, I speak these words and invite you to join me:

I choose the God that I am.

I know the God that I am.

I surrender to the God that I am.

I am the God that I am.

Know that in all aspects of your life, you too can stand at the pinnacle, can be, experience and express that pinnacle.

Be still and know the God that — in this moment and in every moment that you allow it to be true — you are.

Be still and know the God that you are.
